Many elderly people spend their final days chanting mantras and circumambulating at Sacred sites.

They pray for mankind and for a better chance in the next life.

At Lachen Monastery at Parka, these old people are desperately poor, surviving only on handouts of tea and tsampa from the monks, themselves very poor. Jinpa plans to provide accommodation for these people and to set them up with simple crafts from which they can earn a few pence.
